To move on, choose it.

Two weeks of almost continuous problems at work. It actually got to the point where I was dreaming about the problems. I noticed that (at least for me) the worst thing is when I have run out of ideas and do not have any plan at all. I have been through all the 'you just need to create it working' and 'trust the universe to provide' stuff from the eighties and while it has a certain value in demolishing self obsessed depression the phraseology doesn't work for me.

They did of course get sorted out in the end and it coincided with me realising that I have a job where I am expected to fix problems. There is a matter of training, but in the end it comes down to the fact that some are easier than others to fix. That's all.

April is the cruelest etc.

Off to Computer Fair. Car covered with snow; flakes falling thick and fast. Was this really April? Then we decided to go to Kenwood House to have a look round. We have been there for picnics long ago with the children but never seen inside the House.

Bit of a mistake choosing to go across Waterloo Bridge because it was obviously on or near the path of the Olympic Flame and it was thick with Ambulances and Police vehicles and The Press waiting for the big event. There was an endless row of neatly parked Police motorcycles, and a few frozen, rather listless protesters waving Tibetan themed banners (a strangely appropriate thing in the bitter cold and gently falling snow).

Kenwood when we got there was quite interesting; the guide was a pleasant but rather self-conscious young man who obviously had a severe problem with Joshua Reynolds.

A strange day ripped from it's correct time somehow. Or maybe that was just a hangover from watching the first of the new season of Dr Who yesterday.
